Adobe Drawing invited me to create an illustration to highlight a piece of creative wisdom.
Adobe Creative Cloud is the ultimate software tool for digital artists and designers. My piece of creative wisdom, “Uplift your community. Don’t compete, collab”, is inspired by Adobe’s philosophy of creating better together. When creatives share their knowledge, experience, and solidarity, we all grow. Process
Everything started with daydreaming, research, & a few sketches.
Once the refined sketch was approved, I developed a bright and colorful palette to bring this illustration to life. This piece was digitally painted on Photoshop with a Wacom Intuos tablet.
Details
The abundance of elements and vibrant colors in this illustration symbolize the flourishing of creativity that takes place when people come together and collaborate.
To create a sense of unity, the characters are positioned in a tight, triangular central composition. The motivational posters in the background reinforce the intentions behind the piece, conveying its message clearly and directly. The scattered art supplies represent the potential for creativity within each of us, just waiting to be unleashed. The plants scattered throughout the composition are a symbol of growth, expansion, and abundance. The Snake Plant, also known as "Espada de São Jorge" in Portuguese, is a representation of protection from negative energies in Brazilian culture, positioned on the right side of the illustration. Finally, to allude to the theme of friendliness and togetherness, a pug has been added to the illustration. Dogs have long been a symbol of loyalty in art history, and this furry little friend adds a touch of warmth and playfulness to the overall piece.
